About Lauren

Lauren Hyman specializes in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. She has been practicing and refining her skills as a manual therapy practitioner since 2012. Lauren’s explorations into holistic healing and transformative bodywork led her to study with the Upledger Institute, internationally known for its pioneering work in Craniosacral Therapy as developed by Dr. John Upledger, D.O. Observing the outstanding clinical results that Craniosacral Therapy brought about propelled her decision to become certified in its techniques and to dedicate her practice to this dynamic manual therapy. She has furthered her therapeutic skills by studying Visceral Manipulation, a treatment created by French osteopath Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral. She uses these two cutting-edge holistic therapies on their own or in tandem with excellent results, depending on the client’s needs.

Lauren listens closely and without judgment to her clients’ stories in order to develop a treatment approach. She is committed to developing strong client relationships that facilitate healing and understanding and she unhesitatingly shares her resources within the alternative medicine community. With nearly four decades of exploration in the healing arts including Reiki, yoga, herbalism and homeopathy, she believes deeply in the body’s ability to cure itself.

Lauren practices in both Park Hill Yonkers, New York and Stonington, Connecticut. She renews her energy with exercise, yoga, and meditation.
