What to expect

What to expect during a Craniosacral Therapy session

During the session, clients lie comfortably and fully clothed on a massage table.  The therapist uses light, non-invasive touch, usually no more than the weight of a nickel, to locate areas of restriction, and will sit or stand, positioned at various points near your head, torso or feet.  At times, the therapist may also support your limbs and spine while helping your body release accumulated tension.  What you may experience during a session is highly individual. Most clients experience deep relaxation. There is often an unwinding sensation as the body releases tension.  Images, memories, or infusions of color might become apparent. One may even recall circumstances surrounding a past trauma or injury that caused stress to the body.
